S.O.S. Scrubber Sponges: Turning a Concept into Reality

S.O.S.’s marketing staff had a competition for creating a poster concept about the company brand. The winning entry: a rough sketch of two S.O.S sponges defeating both a Brillo and 3M Scotch Brite pad in a wrestling competition. The idea was so popular, they decided to turn the stick-figure drawing into a shirt. But how could they do it with a limited budget?

The Result

YBH hired local artist Jean Bidwell, who transformed an amateur drawing into a professional cartoon. To keep costs down, we imprinted with a limited amount of colors for transferring the artwork onto t-shirts. In the end, S.O.S got a fun, high-impact item that matched their budget.
